Sorry but most people don't seem to want or care of a change in fow armor.

Its only a 3 page essay and its not due until thursday, I got time. Lets not have this into some usless thread of insults. There really isn't any need for change for the fow armor and it doesn't seem to be supported by many people. I'd rather have anet work on other things like GW2, skill balances (if more needed), bug fixes, and maybe any other additions to GW like a new area or changes in pvp.
BTW sorry if i have ticked you off in some way.... this is just my opinion

Serious, do you really think i was talking about ur essay?
If you know how to count, there are not many opponent threads against my original idea. "either create a new costume with distinguished luxurious design (cost higher than Obsidian Armor) or redesign the current Obsidian Armor to make it more suitable to its price of 1 million gold."

Well that's because there is no need to create a thread suggesting NOT to do something. But I'm done posting here, we don't need more comments like, "If you know how to count...."

I did count you as one opponent vote. Also you are by yourself, not "we".

Holy gug it seems people are obviously focusing on one half of your statement. I'll take a moment to address your other half.
It would certainly be nice if they did introduce more armor sets, no doubt about it. But I think it's pretty clear that a.net won't be spending any additional man-hours creating new armor sets for the old game.
A new, more expensive set would be nice, but given their allocation of manpower I think all we would get is mostly reskinning (cough, cough, EotN). And making a theoretical set of armor that's a direct alternative for FoW would piss off a user base that spent an untold fortune on armor that they may have just "settled" on to show their prowess, only to find that there's a better looking armor set that costs teh same.
Definitely the new armor set will need to be distinct enough and under a different context than FoW armor, but that's already been done. It's called EotN armor which is, as I say above, mostly just reskins.
So it seems clear to me that any requests for changed armor or especially NEW armor will fail to make any difference. From here on out we can expect status quo except for balance/bug fix changes.

Personally I agree with Sniper22.
Finish the game and deal with real issues before you listen to some dumb shit crying that his female Elementalist can't be completely naked.

I would be fine with another armor set equivalent in UW, i'd be glad to show you concepts i have in my sketch book. The idea has been suggested before.
But no to changing existing armors that players have already purchased in the past 2 years or changing the cost of any armors.
Under your reasonings I should be able to demand that any armor set be changed, or replaced because I dont like it.
Your hollow pandering about "they will change the game for the majority" is a nonsensical talking point with no real weight to it.
Since the game has been out for 2 years, and a good amount of players have already purchased or are willing to purchase this armor (just based on the price/demand for ecto and shards), changing it because you dont like it, would piss of a lot of players, not just a few, not to mention destabilize the ecto dependant economy, if players dont like the changes. And trust me, I speak on behalf of me and my friends, we will not be pleased.

/unsigned to changing FoW armor, it's been around too long and it's just the classic elite set.
/signed for some new fancy set for players to dye black and stroke their epeens over, if only because mesmer fow is just pathetic.

At first, I got a full set of obsidian armor for my female warrior as a status symbol, but when I dyed it, I really liked how it looked. I like it even more after getting two weapons that match perfectly with it!
Looks great in my opinion. Other armors that look awesome in the FoW line would be the Dervish armor, the female assassin armor, monk armor (without sandals) and elementalist armor.
All in all, for being a set made in the days of Prophecies, obsidian armor looks excellent.

I have about 5 sets of "Elite" Armor on my monk, including Obsidian Armor, and I wear my Obsidian the most... not because it is some sort of status symbol... but because I like it the best. If I thought Elite Kurzick armor looked the best I would wear it the most. I wouldn't mind if a.net made some sort of new fancy expensive armor tho... it would give me something to work for...

I dislike no wait hate all FoW armor except the well its still iffy but the rits and dervs look ok nothin great tho. Warrior FoW armor is just a complete joke and anyone who walks up to me with it I just laught how barrel chested and funny it looks.
Your right the other 15k sets are so much better looking than FoW.
I like to refer to the FoW armor as "Fugly" Its Funny ugly no appeal to buy it and im buying all the elite armor for my HoM and FoW is 1 set I will never buy LOL Im afraid that if I had it on my char I would not play the game I would stand in town laughing at my screen.
But the same can be said for the asuran armor Makeing you look like a Angry beaver but thats a good Laugh, when on vent and playing with guildies Pop on the helmet and scream Beaver Maul Beaver Maul. LOL

My mesmer and monk adore the FoW armor they worked their butts off to get. My necro will love hers just as much when I am done saving up for it.
Of course I wouldn't mind if more sets where put into the game but FoW should stay the way it is now.

If people thought that fow really looked that crappy, there wouldn't be busloads of whammos sitting in Kamadan dressed in fow.
By the way, it's not a "concern". It's a pet peeve you may have, but certainly not a concern.

/compromise?
With Anets team all working on GW2, this is unlikely to happen. But hey, may as well speak of it.
The only two FoW armors I think look any good are Rit and Sin. Personal opinion. I would love the prestige of Ranger FoW, as ranger is my favorite character. But I hate it. I would like it changed. However, some other people seem to like it, and I know I'd hate to see one of my favorite armors changed.
So, here comes the compromise. Add an entirely new set of FoW armor for every class. A new deity zone to get it in would be nice but theres no need for that. Just add this second set to the Forgemaster, with the same costs and materials required, and call it, maybe, "[class] armor of the mists". They wouldn't even have to necessarily design it, they could hold a contest, for example! I know I've had something like 50 ideas for my rangers armor (for a glowing gemstone encrusted set to one made almost entirely from clockwork). I'm sure a bunch of other people have had similar ideas. Then, they can give the community a treat, give the prestige seeking players a choice in armor. Win/win.

Here's my personal opinion on the appearances of FoW armor:
Female Mesmer: Rocks!
Necros, Assassins, and female Monks: Nice!
Female Warrior, Rangers, male Monk: OK
Dervish & Paragon: So-So
Everything else: Ewwwwwwww.
But to each his own. Leave the armor as it is. If I decide to work on getting FoW armor for my lady Monk, and half way through farming my butt off, they change it to something less than desireable, I would NOT be a happy camper. (It's the only other FoW armor I'd consider gettng)
